Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of North
Central Florida! Our organization was founded in 1990 as the Boys & Girls
Club of Perry/Taylor County by a group of caring and concerned citizens
who wanted quality after school programming for the youth of Taylor
County. We began with one club house on North Washington Street. In
1998, the Jerkins Branch was added to better serve more students. The
original clubhouse was renamed the Veteran’s Park Unit in 2004.
Then in 2005, the former Steinhatchee Stingray Club became the Steinhatchee
Stingray Unit of the Boys & Girls Club of Perry/Taylor County.
Many children and adults from varying backgrounds have came through
our programs in these years, but they all have one thing in common-
they got to experience the true mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
In 2007 the Boys & Girls Club of Perry/Taylor County was renamed
as the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida, with the addition
of our Suwannee County Branch. Also in 2007, the Boys & Girls Clubs
of America recreated our national mission statement, and our local
organization accepted this mission.

To enable all young people, especially those who
need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible
citizens. |
